You are already in the shop. Sell them the till.

Most shops buy billing software from whoever set up the computer. If that is you — a hardware dealer, a CCTV installer, an accountant, a systems person with twenty shops on your rounds — there is margin in this for you and no stock to carry.

The deal

Margin, and nothing to carry.

There is no stock, no distributor tier above you and no annual target to hit. You introduce a shop, we cut the key, and your share comes off the licence.

01

25% of the licence

On the first sale and on every renewal you keep alive, at whichever price the shop pays — founding or list. It comes off our side, not on top of theirs.

02

Nothing to buy, nothing to stock

No joining fee, no starter kit, no minimum. There is one installer and it is free to download, so there is nothing to hold.

03

No targets, no exclusivity

Sell one a year or twenty. We do not carve up districts, and we will not tell you somebody else owns your town.

04

The shop stays yours

We do not go around you to a customer you brought, and we will not sell them a competing thing later. If they call us, you are told.

05

We take the support

You install it and show them the counter. When something is wrong with the software it comes to us — you are not being made into an unpaid help desk.

06

Paid on collection

Your share goes out once the shop's money has actually cleared, and the statement says which shop it came from.

Who it suits

People who are already trusted by a shopkeeper.

CalcyBill™ fits 61 named trades, so whatever kind of shop you already look after, there is a version of this conversation that works.

Computer and hardware dealers

You already sell them the machine, the printer and the scanner. The software is the part they ask you about last and value most.

CCTV and IT installers

You are on site, the trust is already there, and a counter is one more thing you can commission while you are in the shop.

Accountants and tax practitioners

You are the one who wants the books legible at the end of the quarter. A shop billing properly is a client who costs you less time.

Anyone with a round of shops

Stationery suppliers, POS-roll suppliers, weighing-scale engineers. If you visit twenty shops a month, you are a distribution channel.

And the things we will not do

Said now, rather than after you have sold one.

We will not build a version with your name on it. There is one installer and it says CalcyBill, because a shop that has to be told which build it is on is a shop nobody can support.

We will not cut a key without the shop's own name in it. That name is signed into the licence and printed on their bills, so it has to be theirs and it has to be right.

We will not undercut you with a direct price. The founding price is the price, whoever the shop hears it from.

We will not promise a feature to close a sale. If a shop needs something that does not exist, say so — and tell us, because it might be worth building.

What happens next

We call you. If it fits, you get the installer to demonstrate, a price list, and a way to send us a shop. There is no fee to join and nothing to buy up front.

Paper to leave behind

A shopkeeper who is interested but not ready wants something to put by the till and find again on Sunday. One side of A4, with a space for your name and number. It is built from the same file the website prices itself from, so it can never quietly disagree with us.

Try it before you sell it

Nobody should sell software they have not run. The trial is thirty days with nothing switched off — install it, bill a day on it, and then decide whether you want your name on it.
