Cancellation & Refund Policy
CalcyBill™ can be trialled free for thirty days with everything switched on before you pay anything. That trial is deliberate: it is meant to answer "is this right for my shop" before money changes hands, which is also why this policy is short.
1. Before you pay: the trial
Download and run CalcyBill™ for thirty days, no card, no account, every feature on. Bill a real day on it. The purpose of the trial is to move the “does this suit my shop” decision to before payment rather than after — see Download.
2. If you paid but the licence has not been issued yet
Licence keys are checked and cut by a person, not issued automatically — see Digital Delivery Policy for the timeline. If you change your mind after paying but before the key has been sent to you, tell us at support@calcybill.com and the payment is refunded in full.
3. After a licence key has been issued
A licence key is a digital good: once it is issued and delivered, it can be activated immediately, and the free trial existed specifically so this point was reached with the decision already made. Because of that, Lighthouse Ventures does not offer refunds for a change of mind once a key has been sent. A refund is given, in full or pro-rated as set out below, if:
- the software fails to run or to do what Features and What it doesn’t do say it does, on a machine that meets the stated requirements, and the fault cannot be fixed within a reasonable time after being reported;
- a licence was issued in error — the wrong plan, the wrong number of tills, or against the wrong business name;
- a duplicate payment was made for the same order.
4. Perpetual licence, one-time payment (Buy it once)
A qualifying refund under section 3 within the first thirty days of the licence being issued is refunded in full. After thirty days, a qualifying refund is pro-rated against how long the licence was usable before the fault made it unusable.
5. Yearly licence (Pay yearly)
A yearly licence simply stops billing when it lapses — there is no auto-renewal to cancel, because none is charged automatically. To not continue, do nothing; the next year is not charged. A qualifying refund under section 3 is pro-rated for the unused part of the paid year.
6. Maintenance (AMC)
Maintenance from the second year on a perpetual licence is optional and is never a condition of the till continuing to bill — see Questions. Choosing not to renew it is not a cancellation request; it simply is not billed again.
7. How a refund is paid
To the original payment method, normally within 5–7 business days of the refund being approved. If the original method can no longer accept a refund (a closed account, for instance), we will ask for an alternative and confirm before sending it.
8. How to ask for one
Write to support@calcybill.com or call/WhatsApp +91 91704 34567 with the shop name and, if you have it, the order or licence reference. We reply and start looking into it within one business day.
