Pricing

One price per shop, for the whole program.

Billing, stock, the full books, GST and e-invoicing are in every plan, including the trial. Buy the licence outright and it is yours permanently, or pay by the year — what separates the three is how many tills it covers and whether the owner's phone is in it.

The first fifty shops

Every price below is the founding price. All 50 still open — it closes at fifty licences, not on a date.

A perpetual licence. The key carries no expiry date at all, so the software does not stop — not when a card fails, not when we are closed, not in ten years. Maintenance is separate and optional.

  • The price is the price. Nothing extra for GST, for the books, or for an update within a maintained year.

Your shop, specifically

Two questions, and your own number.

A table makes you do the arithmetic and then doubt it. Tell it how many tills and how long you expect to be trading, and it picks the smallest licence that covers you.

1

A till is a machine, not a person. Staff are unlimited on every plan.

1

One shop, or several under the same books.

Founding price

The first fifty shops

CalcyBill is new, and the shops that take it on now are the ones whose faults get found and whose requests shape what gets built. That is worth something, so it is priced.

It closes at fifty licences, not on a date. There is no countdown clock and no offer that comes back next week under another name.

50 of 50 still open

  • The founding price, on whichever plan and whichever way you buy
  • Buy yearly, and your renewal stays at the founding rate for as long as you keep the licence current — it does not quietly move to list once the offer closes to new shops
  • A lower maintenance rate, held for as long as you keep it — it does not move to list when the offer closes
  • A direct line to us, not a support queue
  • What you ask for is what gets built next, if it holds for other shops too

Own it, or rent it

The one question worth doing the arithmetic on.

Buying once costs more today and less later. Rather than assert that, here is the sum: what each way has cost you by the end of each year, on whichever plan you are looking at.

Bought once + maintenancePaid yearly
₹0₹22,499₹44,997₹67,496₹89,994owning it wins from hereYear 1Year 2Year 3Year 4Year 5Year 6₹57,994₹89,994

Counter: ₹27,999 once, then ₹5,999 a year of maintenance from year two — against ₹14,999 every year. Maintenance is optional; the perpetual licence does not stop without it. Drawn at the founding price, while the first 50 are open.

Maintenance

Maintenance, and what happens without it

Priced at about 18% of the licence. It is the part most software is vague about, so here it is in full.

The first year is included

Buy the licence and maintenance runs for twelve months from that day. Nothing extra to pay in year one.

It is optional after that

Let it lapse and the software keeps working — the perpetual key has no expiry in it, so there is nothing to expire. You stay on the version you have.

What it buys

Every update we ship that year, priority support, and the GST changes that arrive with each Budget. That last one is the reason most shops keep it.

The cloud needs it

CalcyBill Cloud is a service with a running cost, so a Shop or Chain licence needs live maintenance to stay connected. The till itself carries on either way.

Restarting it later

Come back after a gap and you pay the current year, not the years you skipped. There is no penalty for having stopped.

On every plan

The same software, whichever line you are on.

Not sure which one fits? Take the trial first — it is the full program on one machine for thirty days, and it will tell you more about how many tills you need than this table can. Or ask us.

Before you buy

The awkward questions, answered.

Entirely. The database is a file on the shop's own machine and a bill commits to it without waiting for a network. The cloud, if you use it, is a copy that catches up afterwards.

Nothing. The data lives in %APPDATA%\CalcyBill\, not in the program folder, so a new installer goes straight over the old one and every bill is still there.

Yes. Take a backup on the old machine, install CalcyBill on the new one, restore it. The restore is one transaction — it either replaces everything or changes nothing.

Not unless you switch the cloud on. With it off, nothing leaves the machine. With it on, completed sales and a catalogue snapshot go up — costs, staff PINs and other private local data are excluded by design.

CalcyBill prepares it: taxable value, CGST/SGST/IGST, a breakdown by rate, an HSN summary, and CSV for your accountant. E-invoice and e-way bill payloads are written for the portal's bulk upload. It does not file on your behalf — that needs IRP credentials, which do not belong baked into a till.

Counter is one till, Shop is three, Chain is unlimited. A till is a machine, not a person — staff are unlimited on every plan.

The first fifty shops pay less than the list price, on whichever plan and whichever way they buy, and their maintenance rate is held there for as long as they keep it. It closes at fifty licences rather than on a date. It is not a sale that comes back — the list price is what CalcyBill is worth, and the discount is what taking it on early is worth.

Yearly costs less to start and can be stopped. Buying once costs more up front and less from its fourth year, and after that the gap widens every year — that is the whole trade, and the chart on the pricing page draws it. A shop that expects to be trading in five years is usually better off owning it.

On a perpetual licence, nothing stops. The key has no expiry date in it, so the till carries on billing on the version you have — you simply stop receiving updates, priority support and the cloud. Pick it up again later and you pay the current year, not the years you missed.

No, and the first year is already in the licence price. It is worth having mainly for one reason: GST rules change, and a shop on a three-year-old build is filing against three-year-old rules.

Start with General retail, which is the plain counter. Tell us what your trade keeps that the list does not, and it goes into the next build — which every shop gets, not a special one built for you.

Lighthouse Ventures. CalcyBill is built and supported by us directly — the people who answer the phone wrote the code.

Try it on a real day first.

Thirty days, everything switched on, no card. Buy a licence when the shop has already decided for you.
